With a comfortable margin, Membreu dal Cosa C. Carlüs Xheraltescù has been re-elected Liberal Congress party leader.  Five Liberal Congress members voted for him, while his opponent, MC  Txosuè Éiric Rôibeardescù received only one vote. In a statement, MC Xheraltescù interpreted his re-election as “a Presidential mandate to continue running our party as I always have.” He positioned his party in the centre, ambitiously stating that the party should “dive head first into the next election confidently in the knowledge that we bridge the gap of the ideological divide in our country.”
While MC Xheraltescù has been given a clear mandate by his party, the future of the ZRT was not yet clear, as on friday no announcement had yet been made with regards to the ZRT leadership election. The vote on the election, which shares a ballot with votes on a new ZRT manifesto, party secretary and Central Committee member, should have ended on 14 February, a week ago, but after the first two members had voted, the convention became silent. Counting votes in other threads, two votes have been cast for current party leader Senator Miestrâ Schivâ, UrN and only one for her opponent, MC Moritz Fernaodescu, who himself does not seem to have voted. This suggests that Senator Schivâ has been elected. However, as of press time this had not been publicly confirmed.
