Ministra dal Cúltura Dame Miestrâ Schivâ, UrN, announced last week that Ladîntsch Naziunál and Beric'ht Talossan contributor Sir C. M. Siervicül, UrN, had led a team at el Büreu del Glheþ to put together a series of basic courses on el glheþ Talossan on two websites, Memrise and Quizlet.
Quizlet allows interested citizens to play different games and learn Talossan as they go. Erteiers can fly a spaceship and gun down the correct vocabulary word, or mix-and-match with a memory game. But for all Quizlet's popularity, it is Memrise that has really caught on with the citizenry. Memrise, a spaced-repetition learning site, not only features pronunciation help and smart learning patterns, it also showcases a score for the whole community. It's made some Talossans unusually competitive, working to rack up hundreds of thousands of points over the course of hours... and learning Talossan as they go!
